Old British Police Siren

In my final siren mod I decided to do the old British siren of the 1980's, It' from COPS LONDON from about 1989, Recorded the siren using my digital camera and then used Free Audio Editor to amplify it to 200X it's normal volume. This is a long chase but finally the Bobbies do prevail and stop the reckless driving speeding dumptruck.

Consider this a break from siren modding for now as I have to get back to work making police vehicles for NFS Police H.Q. but if anyone want to know how I mod the game's (NFS HighStakes) sirens I can gladly give instructions so you too can do this. Now enjoy the video.

I would say that siren you presented in that video is rather unusual.

Most characteristic siren for 80s-90s period is exactly that yelp (from your YT account too):

Altough both sirens could be set in that same device (yelp+wail+hi-lo)

For 70s-80s (even 90s) still UK pneumatic two-tones.
