My dad use to do ju jitsu in the purple dragon when he was young he stopped at green belt. I think Professor Don Jacob Might Remember Him.

@keviekev70 True, but some of these techniques can actually be used more practically with some slight adjustments. Of course you wouldn't be able to do the exact technique in a real fight, but you could use certain parts of it, which is why you are trained to react to any attack.
Don Jitsu Ryu has actually proven itself to be deadly in the streets. I remember Professor Jacob telling a story one time about a student of his who accidentally killed his attacker in trying to defend himself.

with all due respect I believe it to be a very good show in the art if skills but not a practical self defence techniques in street combat or even tornaments.
