@itrainsinoctober chavez is not perfect , he is slowly turning into dictator , by having more authorities ( even appointing judges ) , but compared to scumbags like Obama , Blair , and Bush , he is good

@mikesbodypolitic "The enormous gap between what US leaders do in the world and what Americans think their leaders are doing is one of the great propaganda accomplishments of the dominant political mythology ...The real danger we face is not from terrorism, but what is being done under the pretext of fighting it." - Michael Parenti

this is a great documentary but Pilger is UNBELIVABLY pro chavez. And look what he is doing now. a second castro whose slowly but surely destroying a democracy. He is virtually president for life. Now Pilger how do you justify THAT? He is do his own vision of a great dictatorship like what other Latin American countries did but without the support of the united states! UNBELIEVABLE that we will let this human tragedy to occur unopposed!!
I wish we had more politicians like Chavez in the US. Unfortunately we're stuck with Obamas' and Bushs', which aren't a whole lot different from each other. Good for you Venezuela.

Whether Chavez turns out to be a scumbag is not the point afterall all politicians eventually by nature are- but the idea is what survives. People are learning that" living THE good life" and" living A good life are not the same things! When dignity pride community and economic balance reclaim the economics of ""me me me""! The answer certainly isnt current capitalism where the top 5% own 90% of the wealth- life isnt fair and may never be but we can do better!
