Yes, This was a huge slapin the face for Obama. He was startting to believe his own press, I hope this helps un swell his head. Mostly I am happy for the people of Chicago and illinois in general, they need other things way more.

I hate to say it--I was born outside of Chicago and went to school at ISU but Illinois is a hotbed of corruption and I am glad that they did not get the Olympics. It all reeked of cronyism to me--Obama practically begging the IOC after flying to Denmark--as if we do not have other things that should be worked on.

Yeah allgoraro, The Olympics always leave a deficit in the Billions. The people of Chicago would have been stuck with some of it (which they cant afford) and the rest would have been borrowed from China to add to our huge national debt. Obama croneys like Valaie Jarrett etc stood to make tons of cash by selling or renting properties they own...ok most of the Chicago thugs would have, but everyone else would have suffered. Time to start acting responsibly, while we still have a country.

Good points. Obama flying around to plead for Chicago is just more of the wasted money associated with the Olympics. The Olympics are all about money and nationalism--not aspects that are often highlighted.

These people are talking from the heart, they are intelligent folks...they want to take care of the important things first...as always Obama is all about the SHOW and the glittz... while people go hungry and the schools get no help. Obama needs to stop being an empty suit...the people are speaking very clearly all over the USA...cut the crap, sir.
