After a close call involving his newborn twins, actor Dennis Quaid partnered with Discovery Channel to produce a documentary called "Chasing Zero: Winning the War on Heathcare Harm." It premieres April 24th. (April 12)
Okay, let's leave politics out of this. What it boils down to is best practises for patient safety. That is what we need to be focused on. We need to bring the leadership to task on this, and ride herd on those who refuse to invest in change that promotes patient safety.
signboyy u are a freaking moron. WTF does any of this have to do with the insurance companies... u are so dumb it hurts the back of my eyes to look at your stupid comment. It's inappropriate and stupid to blanket an entire industry as greedy. Once again typical marxist - statist crap trying to somehow grab onto the notion that the idiotic government could actually do something better than a private sector company. NEVER.
There's a new product out called ColorSafe IV Lines. these color tinted lines make it a lot easier for nurses to to administer medications and a lot harder to make a mistake. Nurses love this new product but the big manufacturers are moving slow at changing their existing clear lines to the ColorSafe IV Lines.
@darknostrils well the corporations run practically everything. politicians, political parties, media, hollywood, religious leaders. the only hope is to keep independent media, keep the internet uncensored, and to outlaw lobbying, ect.
@signboyy I agree, but it seems progress toward better health care is always running into roadblocks by a certain political party, Republicans and their lunatic psychopath fringe elements walking in hand with greedy profit-mongers!
this is what happens when the healthcare is run by money grubbing corporations taking shortcuts and overburdening staff in order to sqeeze every drop of money to pay investor dividends.
we need a completely public health care system to avoid these accidental deaths
