A crime mastermind put together a team of thieves who have never met together. This plot is set among the desert with good cinematography and music. The ending is crafted creatively. Definitely worth a watch.
This movie sucks, motly cause its made for TV, but the story is awesome. I got this movie for 5 dollars...and 19 other Western related movies came with it. Its called the "Mean Guns" compilation.
When I was 12 years old I was in the checkout line with my mom when the grocery store was robbed in this movie. I'm 51 now! HA! I'll never forget the black outfits and masks and the big guns when they came bustin in to rob us! Shout out to my friend Lee Shoblom formerly of KFWJ in Lake Havasu City, and my 5th grade teacher at Lake Havasu Elementary who played a deputy in the movie Mel Scarborough! I left LHC a few years later, but I still think about those great times in LHC. best, Brian
This used to be on TV in Los Angeles at least 5 times a year on Saturday afternoons. This is a film that is begging for a remake because the plot line is terrific (minus the cheezy subplot with the drunk cop of course).
So somebody knows something! How about a Frankie Randall double-DVD of Day Of The Wolves and Wild On The Beach --- they are the only two Hollywood movies made by Frankie. I've got my money ready!
I don't think a re-release of a digitally remastered Day of the Wolves will happen tomorrow, but discussions are underway that could lead to it at some point in the future.
Frankie Randall is terrific in the movie, especially the action scenes. If they ever do a remake, I really hope they invite him (and the other surviving wolves) to make cameo role appearances.
A really great film..a classic.

The director is alive and well, as are several of the actors. He's just finished recording a commentary on the film.
