Mrfixitrick is a human conductor between the Beta Blocker Radio and the iMac computer screen, in yet another strange little electronic adventure with the versatile Beta Blocker Spirit Radio from EJ Gold.

What is the strange phenomenon that we see in this video? (and, no, I'm not talking about me beating on the screen of my iMac...;)

Is the effect from a RF(Radio Frequency) field? Or electrostatic? Perhaps magnetic?
I'd like to see comments from those who know about this...or think they do!

All of this is beside the original purpose of the Beta Blocker, which is to act as a tool for meditation!

"The Beta Blocker is a new creative use of the early pioneer crystal radio technology. It derives its power from the radio waves themselves and needs no battery or electrical hookup to operate. The Beta Blocker is a highly modified (hacked) working crystal radio."

"Beta Blockers use radio waves in nulled beat-frequency oscillation to produce a reduction wave at the harmonic frequency best suited for deep meditation, called the "Shumann Harmonic" at 7.8 Hz. without
training or effort." - EJ Gold

  • is this maybe being sensitive to your nerve signals? Considering that youre touching a screen, but what if you try some other objects?

  • @GearzVoNKod3

The radio will pick up the emf from the screen by being near it. My hands make a more direct connection because there is more surface area and the body acts as a good antenna.

  • what is causing that effect? LCD screens dont usually have the type of charge a crt screen does... so why is it doing that when you hook it to your ear of all places?

  • @GearzVoNKod3

Hooking the antenna to my ear makes the antenna work better, and my hands complete the circuit as they pick up the switching frequencies of the screen.

  • Try to use spirit radio with the plasma lamp, I'm wondering what effect will be.

  • That's a good idea...I'll have to find a plasma light and try it.

  • i hope u do not break ur screen LOL

  • Stanley Kubrik's music. lol

  • There are two possible reasons your getting an interaction as far as I can tell:

    1. The LCD screen is amplifying your bodies em field and creating an interaction.

    2. The LCD screen crystals are being pushed and altering the waves that the antenna/monitor is sending out already, creating a sort of feedback.

Try putting it by the microwave if you really want to hear some noises :-p

  • WOW, that would make a great instrument!

  • @XXaL68 lol he probably is. :D

i couldn't help but think so, however there's nothing wrong with that. :)

  • He's blinding me with Science! :)

  • Someday a guy like this will stumble ond a frequency to communicate to aliens in outerspace.
