From the looks of it no money was wasted what-so-ever, I would say that by doing some of this research we might be able to save a species which has been on this earth longer than humans. If the previous posters opinion is typical of a well educated point of view then perhaps we are actually wasting money on education. Why educate at all if the results are we feel compelled to allow species like this to disappear from our planet.

Glad to see our tax dollars going to "good" use. Thank you DNR for helping shut down another school and letting our children be put into an overcrowded and understaffed learning environment. How much money was wasted on this whole fiasco?
