"Praise His Holy Name" performed live at First Baptist Church, Clinton, MS on June 22, 2004.

This special choir and orchestra is made up of 9th-12th graders who are chosen thourgh a personal audition and interview process. Each member must be an active participant in the music ministry of their local church and recommended by their pastor, school teachers, and minister of music.

James Meaders, Mississippi College, Clinton, MS is choral director. David Young, Instrumental Contract Consultant, Church Music Department, MBCB, is orchestra director.

  • @icannotremember1000 I'm not Baptist nor Black, but this song sounds strange for Whites to sing. I've never been a fan of Black spirtual music anyway. I've viewed some wonderful performances done by the Mississippi Baptist Youth Choir, but I can't say that this performance inspires me.

  • you have sevral nails in your anus, btw fat guy leader. suckith the scrotum

  • @musicaljohnson theyre doing a much better job putting emotions into the song than about 80% of choirs i've seen.

  • Ironic for an all-white choir to be singing an African-American spiritual... in Mississippi. What, there are no Baptists in Mississippi other than white kids?

  • A little reserved for a gospel, eh?

  • @musicaljohnson

They're not singing before mere men/women. But they are singing before their Lord Jesus.

  • While they sound good, relatively speaking, where is the soul?

  • we are also doing this song in my choir. this is amazing:)

  • FINALLY! A video on youtube of a choir singing this song that can actually blend! I have loved this song ever since I learned it for Oklahoma All-State a few years back. GREAT CHOIR!
