Here's my big son, Adam, being taught to drive in dune country for the first time at Walvis Bay, on the West coast of Namibia.
A 15 y/o boy, a Land Rover Defender, soft sand, tyres at 0.9 Bar, 80m dunes, a military instructor and a terrified family in the back: the recipe for a perfect afternoon!
BTW, if youre looking for mad driving and rolled vehicles, this clip may not be for you :) Here's how to do it properly, without drama.
I highly recommend Namibia: its a stunningly beautiful country with great roads and infrastructure.

Tillerman, thanks!
I live in Malaysia, and my son in the UK: we met in Namibia during the holidays. Its a rented 110, from a self-drive safari company.
The instructor, Lofty, is an ex-SADF guy from a ATV outfit in Walvis bay, and very competent he was too.
Driving down from Holland? Go for it! We were so taken with Namibia that were currently preparing our own L/R for shipping down to Cap Town, to have another go at Namibia then Botswana/Angola.
Its a fantastic part of the world.

Great video of sensible off road driving. I would love to drive down to Namibia with our 90 Td5, but to get there all the way from Holland is another thing, time and money wise.... You're lucky to live in a country where this kind of driving is still possible.
