wats wth the stomach?

@Keon994 It's not too late. If your grandfather had that bypass surgery, maybe he's ready for a good paleo diet right now. It might prolong his life and make the rest of it better quality. Good luck.

@artdevany Art de Vany you have inspired me to become as healthy as I can be, I'm 27 and your in better shape than I am! My Grandpfather is around the same age and height as you are and he just suffered a major heart attack and had to get bypass surgery, maybe if he followed your type of lifestyle he wouldn't have heart problems.

Great, hope there'll be a Kindle edition.

@artdevany great video.. just curious, why do you say lean meats? It would seem to me that our ancestors ate alot of organ meats. After all those are the most nutrient/calorie dense meats, so they would seem to go with your theory of a small stomach, no? Thanks, look forward to your response.

Art, thanks for all your work in this area. I've been eating/researching paleo for a few years now and it's great to see all the work and publicity it's been getting. Hope I can look like you in another 50 years.

Good clarification; I heard that glitch from the moderator but figured that's exactly what it was.
On the lean meat question: wild animals have about 4% body fat, whereas modern, grain-fattened cattle have about 33% fat. So, to eat modern meat one ought to trim the fat and buy cheaper, leaner cuts, if you want to mimic our ancestors. I am not so concerned with that as with the AGEs and oxidized fats in modern meats, which are pretty high. I have stayed lean and have not lost muscle eating lean meats, but I eat plenty.

@artdevany does this mean that you don't eat organ meats? I always thought those were the most nutritious, and prized cuts of meat from our ancestors point of view

@chunkybearcub137 I do eat liver, but have you seen how much fat is in there? It seems even our animals may suffer non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, which is even affecting our children now.

The connection between my son and wife ended up on the cutting room floor. My wife became a type-1 diabetic 4 years after my son and this allowed us to test her blood glucose in a way we could never do with a young child. It redoubled my efforts and provided the data we needed.
