  • Good strength. I posted a video response of my little trick for training heavier draw weights.

  • @ArrowFetcher Thanks, I approved your video response. I do the same btw. 60+60 lbs=120 lbs. But I cant do it with my high poundage bows (110 lbs+100 lbs=210lbs.....). You can also wrap rubber sport bands around the grip, which can increase drawweight another 30 lbs. Keep pulling and shooting.

  • Amazing how it is visible that this bow has very strong poundage. I am affraid that i could never pull it and shoot two arrows with this bow;-)5/5

  • Say never never, it is all about regular training. I encourage you to train with heavier bows. What is your bow's current poundage? You can do strength exercises with your current bow too.. cheers

  • Good stuff!

  • @gokmenpasha You do the same? Cool, I thought of it one day and wondered who else might have thought of it as well. Simple and effective. My max is probably around my two longbows, which equals 130#@28", but my form starts to fall apart pulling so much and I can't do it for extended periods of time. I am surprised you did this here 57 times, you can tell it is a good draw on your first go, but you continue anyway, good stamina. Please explain the rubber support bands in more deatail.

  • @gokmenpasha

thats funny cause I´am the opposit,... dont shoot much, few times in a year :-).

My plan was to build a turkish flight bow, but its not easy, so I never finished it.

I like your bow, can you handle a stronger bow as well?

I´am living in vienna and on countryside, so this topic is very exiting for me :-)).

Have seen few old bows, bootys from turkish conquest.

    Unfortunately I never shoot one.

    Greetings

  • @DonRubinjo Thanks, no I dont make my bows. Making Turkish type hornbows is a full time job. If I chose that I wouldnt have time to train and to do archery. I am rather the shooter than the bow builder. But I make the rest of my equipment e.g. thumbrings, Turkish arrows, bow and arrow quiver and even the historic Ottoman costume. Are you doing archery? cheers

  • @gokmenpasha

Marshallah, ... nice exersice, you make your own bow???

  • @gokmenpasha Thank you friend. my bow's poundage is 55lb, i do not draw over it. I am impressed by your Crimean tatar 'cause i prepare myself to build my own, will see about poundage, but what makes me trouble is the grip, i have measurements i get from some turkish friends but grip is a bit different than in flight bows. What i am most interested are war/infantry bows, i love replicas.

Again, thank you for encouraging me about using heavier bows.

    Greets from Serbiastan:-)
