In anticipation to Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon Nintendo of Europe made a video explaining the history of the now 11 games that have been released so far.

You might also notice that Fuuin no Tsurugi uses screenshots from an unfinished version.

  • So I wanna start this series but cause I'm new to it I wanna play the easier games first. Can anyone tell me the easy (and good) games in the franchise. I know Sacred Stones is easy but are there any others?

  • Shadow Dragon

You're also getting the luxury of starting from the very first game in a way then.

  • @SobmicSSBB But I heard it has a very basic story...

  • That only means it doesn't have any pretentious and overbearing bullshit in the story department.

  • I loved sacred stones through radiant dawn. I just couldn't get into shadow dragon though.. :/ I was really looking forward too.

  • @SobmicSSBB shadow dragon was my first fire emblem game. I got it without knowing it was a remake of the original. It's really fun!

  • Extreme Chess

  • @Darkfirefire i couldn't agree more. for some reasons, the art style of fire emblem games for the gba actually made me play it a lot more. and yea, the art style of shadow dragon wasn't that appealing to me, and i've kinda stopped playing it. though i think that path of radiance has a better art style than shadow dragon

  • @Leodelo98 i would reccomend you play fire emblem rekka no ken know as simply fire emblem in the US then play sacred stones then shadow dragon and then go down to the harder japan onley fire emblems my favorite fire emblem is monshou no nazo

  • Fire emblem really needs to stick to the 2D style they had going for them in their GBA games. Fire emblem 7 was one of my favorite games of all time and I must have beaten it at least 10 times. Fire emblem 8 was, in my opinion, not as good as 7 but had some very redeeming features like 2 promotion options. I liked these games so much that I even obtained a copy of fire emblem 6 (never released in America) on my iPod touch and I'm playin through it right bow :D

  • I'm not listing any names but someone wrote Thracia 776 wrong. 667?

  • i miss the sprites. they just add so much personality to the series. thats one of the reasons i think i loved the gba games so much. shadow dragon was a disappointment artistically.

  • I love the way the narrator tries to avoid using the names of any of the earlier games.

  • Did he just say "Super Smash Bras Melee"?
