With me being a young black man, it make me feel good to see how Barnett went out his way to help Powe out. That just goes to show that we have good hearted people here in Mississippi, that don't see black or white. Although we do indeed have a long way to go in regards to racism, this kind of story makes me feel like we're headed in the right direction.

I wasn't a big fan of Powe when he was at Wayne County. However, I am a big fan now. Most people would have quit fi they faced the obstacles that he did. But he kept working.

You see this and of course think about the movie the "Blind Side". But this type of reaching out and Love goes on in alot of places.
