Here is the first fully transistor portable record player in action with the original speakers. I need help fixing a few problems though.... I have fooled with the knobs and centered the speakers and the right speaker channel is way lower then the other one... Does anyone have a fix for this? I swapped the speakers and they both work its a problem with the channel.. I hooked up something to the aux in port and still the right channel is still low so it has nothing to do with the phono parts not working.. Also the automatic system tends to pick up during the last song on most albums is there away of delaying it so it picks up more towards the end of the vinyl? It makes playing any 7inch records impossible as well. Unfort whoever owned it before me lost the unique plug that came with it so I had to make my own homemade power wire for it to turn on :) Surprisingly it sounds pretty good for over 45 year old machine! Excuse the mess!

  • That's awesome! I have this KLH unit as well. I found it at a garage sale. It's complete with all original parts and is fully functional. The fm tuner works and the record player works great! Nice piece of the past.

  • @ynotrz350 WOW!!! I wish I had the FM tuner model.. I had to get mine repaired though the capacitors were all ruined in it.... cool how urs is still working with original parts

  • nice record player

  • never in my life have i yearned for any product like the KLH-11--as a prep school student mired in much aside from why i wanted said player then. some in my dorm back then easily purchased such (and much else, etc.), so at least i knew the product was available--and instead tho, naturally, i was glad for what i had, etc. thanks very, very much for providing the video.

  • Damn, I just got Vinyl Rolled :-(

    LOL

  • Hi, I would suggest 2 things: The low channel either some caps need replacing in the amp, or the cartridge (in the tone arm where the stylus is) has slowly failed over the years and just needs replacing. The first is techo, the second you can do yourself, parts are available on eBay. The changer triggering near the end of the records is caused by the trip lever under the turntable. this just needs cleaning and re-lubing so it moves very freely and doesn't catch too early. Hope this helps!
