Midget AAA 18U hockey: LA Junior Kings 4, LA Selects 0

Highlights from the Los Angeles Junior Kings' 4-0 victory over the LA Selects on Sept. 7 at Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo, California. The Southern California rivals played a hard-hitting game. Kameron McCorry, Shane McColgan, Joseph Osborn and Ryan Frost scored goals for the Junior Kings, and Beau Bennett added two assists. Eric Chiccone made 14 saves for the shutout.

@burritochampi its divison 1 aka college. in usa, u play AAA, then jrs/ prep schools. then get scouted to college.

@hockeytom101 sorry, what's D1? i'm not really familiar with the US hockey system. pretty simple here. play some AAA, get scouted, get drafted to OHL, WHL, or QMJHL. maybe play Jr. B if you don't get drafted, then get called up to Jr. A. or play some university hockey.

@burritochampi i am american. but we play only prep school teams. (varsity) so that is almost like one step down from D1, cuz thats were most colleges scout from. so its nothing like american hockey

@hockeytom101 are you american? yeah i know its not hotshot AAA. i live in ontario and play single A. a bunch of the kids on my major A team could play AAA, and a couple of my buddies who i used to play with play AAA, were drafted and one even plays in the OHL. haha so just for reference i know real AAA. this is alright, but no one can expect every team to be top notch.

@burritochampi nothing compaired to real AAA. the goalies suck. my team just plays prep schools. and this is nothing compaired to what i do.

@holobalobalo some of these kids are now in the WHL and BCHL and some are even drafted or soon to be.
