Video footage of the abandoned lumber town of Bordeaux in Thurston County, Washington as it appeared in winter 1988. Bordeaux was home to the Mumby Lumber and Shingle Co and thrived from 1900 to the 1940s when the mills closed. At its peak, there were over 400 residents. The town had its own store, a hotel, and a schoolhouse. At present very little remains except for concrete and brick ruins, metal scraps, and decaying wood pilings. The mill superintendent's house is one of the few remaining structures and still serves as a private residence.
