Honestly I think that BSG hit the mark perfectly with it's plot, well there were some misses but the fact is they tied into the overriding thematic concerns of the show. Overall being character driven was a boon for the show. ill thought out plots like lost that rely on outside forces annoy me. I prefer to see the characters drive the story. And honestly the plot holes and 'god' thing were important to the themes, which are what differentiate a good show from a mediocre one.

Maybe I'm not smart enough to follow Lost...yeah, right! At least I don't butcher the English language. And there were only 4 seasons. I just dislike shows that have no direction and are just made up on the spot. BSG had direction and purpose and I immediately cared about the characters. Lost had a good premise, but lousy execution.

I admit that bsg does have a purpose but the way it express the story is very boring, I did not care about starbuck I was happy when she died it means less boring repetitive drama for the show. THe show was far to character driven it hardly had enough to time to tell the story. Overall the situational writing was also a fail. Lost on the toher hand always kept me wondering for more. The personal storys of the charater were cute funny and sad sometimes. That made me care about the charaters.
