One of the protester at the End The FED Rally Philadelphia getting harassed for openly carrying his weapon. It would seem that this cop would do good to actually read the law.
18 Pa.C.S. § 6108: Carrying firearms on public streets or public property in Philadelphia
No person shall carry a firearm, rifle or shotgun at any time upon the public streets or upon any public property in a city of the first class unless:
(1) such person is licensed to carry a firearm; or
(2) such person is exempt from licensing under section 6106(b) of this title (relating to firearms not to be carried without a license).

I cannot fathom the amount of people posting comments who do not know what the law is. if you own a firearm and it sits in your house. you should still know what the laws are. is pretty sad.
i think some posts have been by 12 years olds arguing that you cannot open cary in philly with a permit. you should read and know the law before you call others names and make yourself seem more ignorant than you are.

@MikeNestor82 I just read the same thing right on the Philadelphia municipal web site. Open carry is legal in Phili, except in municipal buildings or on property.

@BethpageL3: you are wrong, per Philadelphia Police Directive 137 open carry with a valid PA LTCF (or a license from any state which has a reciprocal agreement with PA) is 100% legal!
