@TheBubbles9 - The Shadows which came into existence in 1958 are the ones that inspired guitar greats like Jimmy Page. One needs to listen to their early works. All original tunes, very few covers.

The Ventures had a more popular way to reach people.

i can tell you loads of stuff; but some people think i am bragging ..not at all ..i just have studied this group a lot and think a lot of people would be interested to know some facts ... ..i know a couple of the guys ..whats so funny is that they can not recall a lot of this stuff themselves ..so many years i guess ...one of them for example doesnt know how the sound effacts on the SPACE album was done ...they laid down the tracks and the engineers put in the quirky sound effects later ..

a lot of the ventures rhytem guitar was done with a guitar strung with light guage banjo strings ..these guys were always experimenting ,,,they were backtracking years before the beatles ..sgt pepper..
