My D-42 1996. The best sounding guitar I've ever owned. Specially for fingerpicking!

  • If it was the best sounding guitar you ever owned, then why did you sell it?

  • @johnnynocaster --> I'm a songwriter, and for that my 000-15S was the best guitar. If i where a instrumental guitarist the D-42 would have stayed. :-)

  • One very great moment of Finger picking of a very great guitar ...Thanks . (5*****)

  • Thanks alot!!

  • Amazing sound. It's sheer perfection.

I tried a lot of guitars and I must say, Martin's are the best. I'm considering buying a 000-15S...

But I was wondering if they were reliable... Anyway the sound of your guitar is so deep and bright and soft. The perfect balance...

  • Thanks! I also own a Martin 000-15S, and it's my favorite guitar of them all!!!!! :-O Really love it...!!...

  • Ive got a DC 15e, plugged in sounds mint...not plugged in sounds very poor indeed (unless just had a fresh set of strings) Ive had it refretted once as its a working guitar getting played extensively 3-4 times a week. I got a really cheap martin and that sounds miles better? I play quite aggresively and it is getting harder and harder to play and sound good every time i pick it up...Does anyone elso have these issues with there Martins?

  • This sounds like from heaven!

  • Love that sound!

  • Clubhead's guitar history, for no particular reason other than Martin rules my world:

    1980 -- Gibson B-25 (my Dad's)

1990 -- '58 Epiphone Cortez (also my dad's, where I really began to learn) ...

2007 -- MARTIN D-42!!!! (Major, major, major step up!)

    2011 (in April, after '10 tax refund :) MARTIN D-45!!! ...

    Forever more....
