UK Channel 4 advertisements - December 28th 1983

I am gradually sorting through some of my ancient video tapes to log what is on them, and caputuring some vintage clips whilst I do so.

Here is (most of) an advertisement break shown before a broadcast of classic animation 'The Snowman' (only the second time it was ever shown, unless I'm much mistaken, and the first time using the David Bowie opening, created for American audiences).

Adverts include:
* Charrington IPA (voiced by Glyn "Dave the barman from 'Minder" Edwards)
* Allders
* Now That's What I call Music - the first ever release of the long running compilation label
* Citron BX 1600
* Wates homes (?)
* the new issue of TV Times

No, the version I've always seen is of the author Raymond Briggs walking through a field and delivering the same line. Then the real life footage morphs into the animation of the opening sequence. It surprised me when David Bowie popped up.
