The 100+foot record is most likely going to be Jaws or Cortes. The winter swell of the decades were 1983,84 then 1995, then 2005 and 2007.

yeh your right...people are over using tow in surfing...it is necessary at jaws but when im paddiling in and there are people getting tow ins around me just dont understand the point...pure laziness.

This is not fake the best big wave surfers travelled all around the world (not just Jaws) to find the biggest waves and they made a documentary on it^^^Billabong Odyssey and whoever said that tow-in surfing is lame has a point because it takes the thrill of paddelling and dropping in and it does pollute the water but tow-in surfing has allowed surfing to grow and become more exhilerating like surfing at Jaws(where it is imposible to drop in) or big Teahapoo etc anyone who has negative comments
