The video is of a Drain cycle in a 'Flood and Drain' aquaponics system.

This is a test set up using a 6W pump, and a Bell Auto Siphon.

The system could have easily been 3 times larger using the same size pump, as the current Flood and Drain cycle takes 2 min.

  • hey I am lookinat at buliding a test mini system too, just wondering what volumne are the buckets and also how many fish in got in the tank?

  • @Irishgirl41 actually helps them, cleans their water and adds oxygen to the water

  • @Irishgirl41 not one bit

  • @Bioritize auto bell siphon - meaning when the water gets to a certain level, it flushes down

  • doesnt that hurt the fish?

  • Does the pump run all the time? How often does the bed drain to keep the roots from rotting?

  • Looks like an awesome system. Check out my aquaponic system its mini too.
