On April 30, 2011 I treated myself to a First Class Suite on Emirates Airlines A380 Super Jumbo from Bangkok to Hong Kong. I don't normally fly First Class, so this was a special experience. The cost for the short 3 hour one-way flight from BKK-HKG in April 2011: $550 USD. The reverse one-way flight from HKG-BKK is higher due to airport taxes. Of course a longer first class flight would be much more expensive. This BKK-HKG segment is a stopover in Bangkok on Emirates flight EK 384 from Dubai to Hong Kong.

The camera was a Canon pocket camera. It shoots amazing HD video and stills. That model is no longer available. The current model is even better. Canon Powershot SX260HS. I think there is a newer model coming very soon. SX280HS.

Thanks for your nice comment. I just reviewed the video and it seems the first class suites have partitions that can't be removed or lowered. So I believe the answer to your question is no. Singapore Airlines A380 first class suites in the center section can be opened up to make one large suite with a double bed. That might be a better choice if SQ serves your itinerary.

I shot the video and I'm not rich. I needed to fly from Bangkok to Hong Kong, and accidentally discovered the short 3 hour continuation of Emirates flight from Dubai to Hong Kong has a stopover in Bangkok. The 3 hour one way flight in a first class suite was $550 USD in April 2011. Two years later it's higher now but still affordable for many people and worth it to enjoy a millionaire's experience on the cheap.

Lo que no dice el pringao este es que el EK-384, viene de Dubai, hace escala en Thailandia y sigue hasta Hong Kong, pero vamos que desde la fila 67 se ven los flaps mejor que desde la 4....que alli no se ve nada....joerse.

Wow, nice video. Thanks for sharing. I love luxury. Too bad it was only 3 hours. Cheap it was! I dream of doing something similar some day (but a longer flight). Thanks again for sharing. Bye!

What else could they possibly have offered? Looks like everything a man could have wanted was taken care of, right? Right?
