On April 30, 2011 I treated myself to a First Class Suite on Emirates Airlines A380 Super Jumbo from Bangkok to Hong Kong.

EK's lounge in BKK is very nice. Large, good food, worth arriving early to enjoy. You'll enjoy the entire experience. The speedy BKK check-in is great too. No long immigration line to depart BKK. You'll be whisked through the crew immigration area in seconds.

Emirates A380 first class BKK-HKG is $550 USD. HKG-BKK is $650. For some reason, the flight to Bangkok is $100 more expensive than the flight to Hong Kong. Perhaps Bangkok's airport taxes are higher?
