Ford operates a noonpartnership assembly plant in Brazil. Multitudes of suppliers and installers operate under one roof without commingling profits, equipment, supplies or personnel.

A business model lamented in the US for quasi general partnership status. US Tax and liability law for Joint Ventures inhibits manufacturers "assembly" of similar advanced management concepts.

A call for State legislatures' creation of J.V., non partnership, safe harbors for manufacturers.

  • @metalslugxBTB Foreign automakers open production facilities there because of the brazilian government tariffs on imports of cars (and other goods)

  • What is this? Some anti Union bs propaganda? nice. not. A factory in a rain forest. A uni body? Doesn't look that great, looks chinsy. Read the label folks, If it aint made in America, by American workers, just don't buy it! American Auto workers are some of the best workers in the world.

  • cool clip thanks for sharing ..

  • The UAW: We won't work under your proposals!

    Brasil: Hey Ford! We will!

    Ford: Okay Brasil...

    UAW: QUIT SHIPPING JOBS OVERSEAS!!!

  • I'm out of breath. This is what were doing world wide. Carelessly building plants that pollute the environment letting down the people when we close the plant.

  • Just because the commentator in the video implies it's the UAW's fault for not allowing new plants in the USA doesn't necessarily mean that is the truth. That doesn't explain the thousands of jobs lost by outsourcing and not all of those were union jobs. Companies will natually go where the costs are cheaper and labor is only one facet of that decision. Land costs, incentives, labor supply, labor costs, taxes and so on all play a role.

  • @chevylover11

That's something, considering the Chevy Aveo is made in S. Korea, the PT Cruiser is made in Mexico, etc... Learn the industry - Toyota made the Pontiac Vibe, Mitsubishi made the Dodge Stealth, Dodge is making the Nissan Titan.

  • Of course this is all Bush's fault...some how, I just know it.

Unions, congress, liberals and stupid "Jersey Shore" youth are slowly destroying this country.

Brazil: "The workforce is young and eager to learn"

America: "The workforce is lazy, stupid, entitled and brainwashed by the liberal media and government controlled education centers. More concerned with which iPhone to buy then actually learning and earning".

Capitalism is key. Get a skill, make money, compete globally. Unions suck.
