Great tune! I've worked out the first part and when I learn the whole piece I'll post my vesion of it.
That is a great sounding mandolin -- the info you posted says it is a flat top but in the video it sure looks like a carved top. It really looks like it was patterened after a 1960's era Gibson A-50? I like the subtle snakehead shape on the headstock. Anyway guys from the garage sound great!

Hi there and thanks for the comment and bringing this to my attention...in the info it reads as such..."Edward B. joue "La Reel De Terre-Neuve" sur la mandoline
Edward B. playing "Newfoundland Reel" on the mandolin, one of Smiley Bates flat top instrumentals." it is suppose to say "one of Smiley Bates flat top (GUITAR) instrumentals" I'll edit the info and have it corrected just as soon as I finish this reply....from "lagarageagilles"

My grandfather came from Port aux Basques, Newfoundland, and on summer vacation's we'd visit relatives, who'd play the jig's and reel's. Your music brought back great memories! Thanks! :c) 5 Star's!
Best wishes for health and happiness!
