Can a 22 LR defeat a Kevlar "Bullet Proof" Vest? We put it to the test.

20 year old decomissioned kevlar vest is test shot with a 16" bbl Ruger 1022 from aprox 10 feet away. Supersonic .22LR Federal High Velocity Ammo was used for the test.

This is a level IIIA vest.

  • Can you use ammunition that is a little more realistic like 9mm - .45?

  • @Valkmir Yeah the 5.45 is very similar bullet size as the .22. but the casing and jacket of the bullet are not, only the diameter.

  • @Valkmir the 5.45x39 is still a 22 bullet in fact it's the same diameter as a 22lr bullet your the idiot look it up.

  • @redfirekla idiot its absofuckinlutely not

  • @JWnFL Nah, 22lr. His 10/22 cant shoot magnum

  • a 5.45x39 which is a 22 round would go through that easily

  • and it was a 22 magnum?

  • @GomerfromIsaan dont you pigs have a doughnut shop to knock over or something? maybe some occupy children to spray or beat on?

and i dont understand the keyboard tuff guy thing.. I said he was a cross dressing cop who liked to walk all over the Constitution.. how does that make me a tough guy? I am pointing out his meter maid fetish and the fact that we Tax Payers / Job Creators have to pay for his fetish. You are not so bright mongo.

  • @JWnFL I shouldn't respond to trolls but he is a real soldier, unlike tough talking keyboard warriers who would not even survive basic training.

  • try the 17 hmr next

    you will be surprised.

  • @Ihasgecko not only bounce around, they're known to fragment, becoming smaller projectiles instead of ONE mass. There by more likely to hit something vital as multiple fragments. The .22 cal. is said to be the 'gangster' gun of choice on 'up close and personal' hits as its small, easily suppressed and there's rarely any exiting. Not to mention, who thinks twice about someone buying the ammo. They're cheap as dirt too. Even more so when they're 'hot'. And there are 100,000's of them.
