The Shadows - 'Don't Throw It All Away'

A great song composed by Gary Benson for a song for Europe for The Shadows to sing if chosen for the Eurovision Song Contest of 1975 but instead was chosen was 'Let Me Be The One' and Don't Throw It All Away was recorded for The Shadows 'Specs Appeal' album. I believe if it had been
chosen it would have won the Eurovision Song Contest! and also Let Me be The One should have won! instead of coming 2nd place for the uk. Later Don't Throw It All Away was a hit for it's compsosor Gary Benson and also recorded later by Olivia Newton John in 1976, this song is about a relationship which is on the verge of breaking up and could easily be about Bruce Welch and
Olivia Newton john's relationship they had in the late 60's early 70's. A lovely track sung here by Bruce Welch and one that could be re-recorded by the likes of such bands as Westlife today. If you're listening Westlife... you could do a great cover version! for this great record!. Enjoy!
