@lintownboy I think I have been in more travels than the average traveler. Houston has one of the widest freeways in the nation. While Toronto has one of the widest lanes(hwy 401 having 16 lanes) in the northern American hemisphere but still not as wide as the ones in Houston on the other hand has I10 inner loop with more than 26 and they still get backed up LA just needs updates on their overdue freeway system.

You should have shown the traffic on I-10, the Katy Freeway. It's worse, and it has 16 lanes!

mass transit really sucks in houston. the freeways do get messed up daily. there are park-n-rides and many companies have carpool programs. you can check typical traffic trends as well as current conditions by searching "houston traffic" on google (it's the first one that shows up - houstontranstar; can't list the website here since youtube doesn't allow). good luck.
