@noobykiller123 most fuses are waterproof because they have gunpowder in them and a wax coating around them. I've lit firecrackers underwater many times.

@ZIdar25 the priciple of physics for every action there is a opposite reaction the first explosion caused the bottom of the barrel to expand rapidly and causes the thing to shoot upward the same effect can be achived with a little dynamite cracker and a auqifina water bottle filled 1/4 full :)

The fuse stayed lit because there is gunpowder or black powder in it, so if it starts burning it most likely won't be put out by the water. Buy some regular black cat firecrackers and see.
