Orion, Sirius & The Pyramids Of Egypt

To the Ancient Egyptians every star possessed a sacred meaning. They called Sirius in the constellation Canis Major the Star of Isis. Other constellations like Orion might of had a certain architectural significance. The three Great Pyramids are aligned with the three constellation stars of Orion, What does this alignment mean, is it a coincidence or were the pyramids purposely engineered this way?
