As a hockey fan, and a Canuck fan, Diving was never Forsberg's style, he lost an edge, the ref fucked up, plain and simple.

Forsberg just messed up and the ref just did what he had to do. Ever heard of superstar calls?
When people dive they stay on the ice for a while to make sure it's noticed, Forsberg got right up.

all sports have there divers, even some of the greatest had a few dives.

@Defenseman619 you do know that forsberg has stated that after his multiple surgeries on his ankle he has bad balance and would just eat it for no reason, grouped with the fact that those surgeries never fully worked he retired early, not to mention that game against the Canucks this clip is from was his first of the year he was also probably rusty.
The only time Forsberg dived on purpose was when he wanted to "accidentally" slash the guy in the face on his way down.
