Funny how TV programmes set in the 1960s, like Heartbeat feature lots of 1960s music, but NEVER any 1960s radio clips!

VERY NICE BUT WRONG!!!As all pop fact fans know, The Move's Flowers In The Rain was the first track to be played on Radio One, chosen to symbolise the era of flower power and guaranteeing an ongoing stream of income for the band.
The only problem is that none of those pop facts is true.
The first track played was in fact Johnny Dankworth's Beefeaters, which Tony Blackburn used as his theme tune for Daily Disc Delivery
I never stated it was the first musical note played did I? The Move didn't earn any income from this song as all pop fans know!
