Looking for places to skate. Regent's park is ideal and centrally located. Every time the main lane is open to cyclist there is a lot of opposition from local residents. Not in my back garden syndrome. Most Royal parks in London take great pride in welcoming all ages to their park, by catering for the various needs. Places with sports facilities such as schools - are rarely available for local residents to use outside school hours. If you wanted an indoor facility to skate in London - it is hardly an option. The outer circle - is a wasted opportunity! Used for years, as a short cut into central London. This perfect track - should be used only by permit holders and be one way, leaving enough room to include a cycle lane & joggers lane. Street lighting also needs to be improved. There should be no traffic lights so joggers, cyclist and skaters do not need to stop every few hundred meters. I think this will be very popular and keep a lot of people fitter and happier.
