@Korynnn I think Matt is intentionally emulating the whole "guitarist with mystique" thing. If he were right up there with Zooey all the time, he wouldn't be half as cool. Its just the dynamic of the group. Nonetheless, they're both awesome people.

@Korynnn To be completely fair, I do agree that M. Ward is just as a big a part of the equation, but the fact that you made a statement like" Zooey is just cute" is a complete write off. Not only does that insult Matt as a musician, who would never choose a musical partner based on that, but it insults her talents. MOST of these gems are her songs from her own demos. Ward enjoyed them and wanted to help her. They compose them together: entirely a team effort.

@harusakurapetals Not just Zooey. I wish people would get it right. M. Ward is just as big a part of the equation as Zooey is. In fact, I'd say he's where the talent lies here. (: He's got the better stage presence, the actual musical talent. Zooey's voice is wonderful, but if you listen to M. Ward. His music is much more complex, interesting and beautiful. Zooey is just cute.
