Man have I played his music so much. I loved him when I first heard borrowed angle and bought the 45 that I still have it.. And the old 8 track days,. I wish he could have been reached we lost a part of real country music. As long as people like you keep posting we will keep listening thanks.

Thank you for posting these, I've heard him on the old timey radio station in my town but I had not realized who he was how cute he was and how much the country music world lost when he died. I can't believe all the good music Ive missed, but I was a good bit younger then and I didn't know what i was missing yet. TY!! GB

as a dj i played alot of mel's songs...my band opened for him right before he took his own life...he was great to work with a great singer who is really missed in country music(real country)

I'm so happy there is YouTube so that this music can still have life. It's an era of country music upon which another generation of country singers have built very lucrative careers. A short-lived career, but classic 70's country music is heard in every note of this song.
