Megaman X5 rank route 2/8 - X to A on Virus 2

Part of a series of videos where X and Zero reach MMH/MEH rank on what I believe to be (one of) the shortest route(s) possible.

Time isn't much of an issue for getting an A rank on this stage. It's the damaging attacks that you'll have to avoid in order to get enough points for a rank increase. Thankfully, you can destroy most of the enemies in your way without worrying about losing points. Just remember that the stuff that the boss's green eye shoots out adds to your kill total.

Yeah, I got lucky here too and did a no damage clear. But it looks kinda boring...

It's not as impressive cause you did that on normal... try doing it on xtreme, its WAY harder, that part with the 4 guys droping spike balls down is impossible to get past without taking damage on xtreme.

@Zero100009 yup, his runs are all done on normal difficulty, impossible to pull this off on xtreme

@luison410 as I mentioned in another comment (and Zero100009 even confirms it, only that the comment doesn't show as a reply), this was done on xtreme. You can sort of manipulate the pattern of the 4 spike balls by standing near the edge and timing your dash so that you barely make it past the spike ball just before the 4. It should be able to execute this rather consistently, but I can't remember for sure right now.

Highly impressive. Did you stand at the ground at 3:22 so to make it less likely that the spikes appear in the upper section? You have to be REEAALLY sensitive if the spikes appear there. And the way you dodged the shots from the green eye... Geez, I always ran around and shot the projectiles like crazy but you just went "*sigh*Is somebody shooting at me? Oh well." Kudos to you for achieving what I could not do myself.

Heh, I think I stood on the ground in anticipation of spikes being on the top, so that I would have some space to walljump. I don't believe you can manipulate the spikes, so I just got lucky.

Dude you are impressive. We actually say your vid on Listen Go. My cousin and I were impressed. I cannot do this marvelous things with X. I actually can defend my self with Zero Somehow. But you are an excellent player. I hope I can play as well as you do some day

Ohh now I see sorry your right it was on xtreme but that part with the four guys with spiked balls it just depends on how they spawn for the pattern they hit the ground.
