Mellissa has paid her mortgage in full every month for the past 3 years but has been repeatedly harassed, sometime 10 times a day about non payment. The company can't get its paper work straight.

Have you been affected by the housing crisis? Do you know anyone who has? We're asking you to record your story, or the story of a friend, family member, or neighbor, and send it to us in a video or through a written submission. • Melissa,

It isn't 'Your Home'. You just have a debt obligation that allows you to live there. The bank/note holder owns the home.

You just bought for too much, put too little down, and got a bad mortgage.

I live in L.A. I could have bought anytime from 2004-2009. I could tell there was something wrong. Every Realtor I spoke to couldn't explain the income to house price disconnect.

    10:1 or 12:1 price:income is not real.

That's a bubble, fraud, and people lying - on both sides.

  • Is this the American dream? Sell the house and rent in Tustin.

  • Melissa is seriously hot.

  • I LOST 10MILLION DOLLAR HOME

  • Caveat Emptor: Let the buyer beware!

It's time Americans learned the importance of realistic thinking, common sense, saving, and thrift. Simply: People can't live beyond their means without consequences.

  • the income vs debt is not the problem. I was harassed by EMC even when I paid, they were so stupid that they lost my money and put me in false default 3x This is the issue and they charged false late fees because they did not know their ass from their head

  • i put 17k down

  • Has anyone every considered that the whole early 2000 century foreclosure crisis is a form or terrorism? Look at how many people are directly effected and the even large numbers that are indirectly infected. No need for bombs, bullets, or viruses. The job got done anyway.

  • thanks and that would not be the half of it. I made a mistake even thought i deserved better, by trusting a family friend broker, now out of business. BUT what EMC has put me through is just plain violations of the FDCPA, and there are other legal issues that I can't discuss publicly that EMC did. All you have to do is look up EMC mortgage FTC order to get an idea.

  • I owe you an apology...I misheard the video the first time around. So you paid roughly $330k for a one bedroom condo? That makes more sense. Hopefully this new bailout will be beneficial for you. The government will soon be forcing these crappy lenders to modify loans. It sounds like you would be a perfect candidate, so don't give up yet.

  • and I lose 150k plus
