@Yetti0 your right i am 48 and went to 3 special schools in the 1970,s and tested out to be aspie gifted,i sing tennor play handbells.i also repair vintage radios and gramophones.and i am into landscape photography.

and psychology...let alone i was treated as junk or a lump of kak by the british education sevices,as all the care about is academics,all else is worthless ,,,,shame..........jeff.....

@JoelMatton I don't know about people with bad autism, but speaking as a person with aspergers, we CAN learn. Granted, my problem isn't as bad as some other aspies I've met, but I've learned a lot of social cues from experience and watching lots of TV (regular shows) and reading a lot of books (and I mean A LOT of books! The detail some books have is amazing!). I still have trouble a bit with voice cues, but I think I'm fairly decent. The trick is watching face and rest of the body.

My little brother is diagnosed with autism, my parents are divorced, my mother is struggling with money, my father dissapeared when I was 10 years old, I am diagnosed with ADHD, but from day to day, me and my mother, we spend all our time reading about how to teach kids with autism, we spend as much time with him as we can, and as soon as I come from school, I do my homework, and then for the rest 8 hours I play with my brother. He has been named ''child of the month'' in his whole entire school

(which BTW can also be used in schools, home and therapy)

I agree that my son can learn from watching but I also agree that i will not teach emotion
