SMD CC-1 Crossover Calibrator Multiple Amplifier Gain Matching Device

INTRODUCING THE NEW PRODUCT FROM SMD-D'AMORE ENGINEERING! The new CC-1! Set your crossovers to the EXACT frequency you desire, fast, accurately and most of all very EASY. Go into "competition mode" and it has a function which allows you to match multiple amplifier outputs so they all put out the same power at the same time. This device doesn't just measure AC voltage, it measures DBV. This makes it more accurate then using a DMM (digital multi meter). This is a prototype and we are in beta testing stage.....still needs some tweaks but we hope to have it available by early 2012! In the meantime, don't forget to add the SMD DD-1 to your tool box. so with the cc1 after the dd1, did either of the amps gain incresased or degreased from what the dd1 read? if it increased a lil to match the calibration of the master, would that leave it a slight distortion? should still be fine correct?

@Toad559 when the DD-1 is used FIRST, all the amps are VERY VERY close. The CC-1 just fine tunes them. I litterally BARELY BARELY moved each gain.

I just received both units, and they are super easy to use. I used to use an o-scope and a multimeter to do in 20 minutes what these things do in 2. Unbelievably easy.  This is a fantastic product Steve!

Is it necessary to gain match when using 4 amps in a master/slave configuration?

So shouldn't you clamp to see which 1 is putting out the least power, then calibrate all the other amps to that lowest 1? Wouldn't that guarantee zero distortion? As opposed to just picking a random amp to calibrate all the others too?
