I couldn't agree with you more. I grew up there, and just recently got out. It was a nice town in the 80's, now it has all the problems of a big city with none of the benifits.

I was born and raised here in Fairfield, California. It is a great place to live. Although, since the recession, businesses have closed up shop. It seems that the only thing that is keeping this city alive is Travis Air Force Base. Just recently I noticed that Hollywood Video closing for good here. But somehow Westfield Solano Mall has managed to stay open. Again I was born and raised here. And I still am living here.

i live in suisun... and fairfield has rubbed of on suisun. both cites have become very run down and mismanaged. if you want to live somewhere live i would recommend vacaville just 15 mins. form fairfield.

I lived in Fairfield for the better part of the 80s. I loved it - but that was a long time ago, I admit. What the hell's happened? Could you give a couple examples of why it's turned so bad? I haven't heard much --- I'd appreciate some info, I'm heading back to the Bay Area soon and I'm looking for somewhere to live. Thanks!
