En Amazonie équatorienne, entre le rio Napo et le rio Curaray, l'un des derniers peuples premiers tente de sauver son territoire ancestral et de préserver son mode de vie. Ils ne seraient plus aujourd'hui qu'environ 2000 individus, répartis en plusieurs communautés, notamment les Tagaeri et les Taromenane, qu'on estime à quelques dizaines d'individus. Certaines de ces tribus vivent encore de la chasse et de la cueillette. Depuis des années, les Huaorani luttent pour empêcher l'installation des sociétés pétrolières et des chercheurs d'or, attirés par la richesse de la forêt amazonienne. Mais pourront-ils tenir encore longtemps face à des gens organisés et déterminés, attirés par l'appât du gain ?

  • It's kind of funny, indigenous american peoples have a history that goes back thousands of years. Most of the tribes in north and south america have worn clothes for most of recorded history, but some of the tribes apparently just decided somewhere along the way that they didn't care about clothes anymore, lol.
