I wonder if any of these Travelers own fleets of limousines or the carriages? Since they have so many weddings and communions and these don't seem to be considered optional... . Besides, it's one more way for them to get money from those outside their own community.

@B3KKK3B , and they were separated by their anniversary. I guess that's what happens when a girl is allowed to be educated all the way to age 16, she knows better than to stay in an abusive marriage.

I guess they just don't place education on the top of their list. Did you watch the rest of the documentary? They take the girls out of school at about 13 to start practicing house work and things. It's not a matter of thinking they don't need it because they already speak another language, it's a matter of priorities, basically.

I think that they think they don't need to know how to write because if they can speak Romani language (which had no written form for a long time) they dont need to learn to write in English.
