NOTE: This was an incredibly fun piece to work on. The idea for the piece was conceived from of an inside joke between me and tap teacher best friend Michael Raine. I then approached MARY POPPINS cast mate Kathy Calahan with the idea of creating a piece centered around the idea that adding tap dancing to a faltering Broadway show could boost ticket sales and save the show from closing. We worked together to create this piece for the EASTER BONNET COMPETION 2009, a piece that indulges tap dancing in iconic musical theatre moments traditionally not thought of as "tap moments."
