First i have heard of this - there are somethings America does well and others not so well, American version of Rentaghost - I don't think so!!! A truly British kids series that can never be beaten - Ben Stiller?? No way

Just been on a trip down memory lane and I know its been said many times before but the BBC produced such wonderful kids TV programmes with so much creativity and individuality the likes of which could well do with a come back. Innocent and fun!

Looks like Ben Stiller will be playing the lead in Rentaghost! I do hope they keep the original theme tune too (like on A-Team)

Speaking as a first generation fan (yes, I remember when it was just Mumford, Davenport and Claypole!) If a new film is going to be made, even if it has Hollywood actors in it, I would sincerely hope the theme tune is kept, I just love it, and it's so integral to the programme that it would be hard to say that anything else would be "Rentaghost". Sorry to hear about you dad, Steve, he was an absolute genious and will be sorely missed.
