ive thought of something of how to keep the edges of the lightning in the same place! so they dont wiggle around! just play with the wigth of the adjustment layer which has the wave warp and turb. displace until it just reaches the end of the lightning. so the rest of the lightning will have the wiggle but not the sides! yay it works!

You need to hit F4 to change it so you can see "mode".
