The Research and Policy Forum on Climate Change and Environment in the Arab World "Seawater Intrusion in Greater Beirut: Current Situation and Early Signs of Climate Change".
Mark Saadeh, PhD, is an instructor of Oceanography at the AUB Geology Department. Saadeh received his PhD in Hydrogeology at RWTH Aachen University in Germany. In his doctoral thesis he focused on seawater intrusion in the Greater Beirut area and its impact on water quality. He is currently a consultant to the Litani River Authority. Prior to joining AUB, he was project manager of the Litani Water Quality Management Project (LWQM) from 2004 to 2005. His interests are in hydrogeology, seawater intrusion and its implications on groundwater quality.
