This is the B-side of !Oh Freddy", Connie's only Motown release.
It Hurt Me Too, co-written by Marvin Gaye, was his B-side to "Stubborn Kind Of Fellow", though this version is more up-tempo.
She was signed to Motown Records in 1961, and had just 3 sessions in Studio A, cutting just 5 tracks.
In 1960, Connie had entered and won the "Miss Teen USA" contest and in 1961 is given her first film role, in the teenage angst movie, The Young Sinner, where she plays "the best friend of the school tramp"
After leaving Motown in 1963 she briefly records for Wheelsville Records in Detroit, then at 18, signs with Epic Records in New York City, where she records several pop sides for an unreleased album. At Universal, she bumps into director Lee Madden, an old friend who casts her as the female lead in his AIP film, Hell's Angels '69. Soon afterwards, she begins acting in several popular TV shows, including "Adam-12" and "Ironside."
In 2003 she completes a starring role in the film Shiner, written and directed by Christian Calson.
She was cast in Hell's Angels '69 with Tom Stern, Jeremy Slate, and the several members of the Hells Angels motorcycle club. She continued to pursue recording, and released a self-titled album in 1972. She co-starred in W.W. and the Dixie Dancekings in 1975 with Burt Reynolds. Another album, "Conny Van Dyke Sings For You," followed the film. In 1975, she co-starred in Framed with Joe Don Baker.
After Framed Van Dyke turned to television, and appeared on Adam-12 and Police Woman as well as a number of game shows in the 70's, including Match Game, You Don't Say, The Cross-Wits, The Hollywood Squares and The Gong Show.
Van Dyke's career is marked by thousands of public appearances from Caesar's Palace to Radio City Music Hall. She was a featured talent in 25 years of telethons for her favorite charity, United Cerebral Palsy. She currently works for Click Active Media in Los Angeles.

I agree.....Marvin's is more soulful, more raw, This sounds too polished. IMO.....

In the 70s, Van Dyke was more famous for appering on game shows (Match Game, You Don't Say, Crosswits).
